Adnan founded Pencil & Oak and is responsible for its direction and final editorial review.

My role at Pencil & Oak

I choose the questions the site covers, review its guides and tool behavior, and decide what is ready to publish. I also handle updates and corrections. The aim is to make planning decisions easier to understand before someone spends money or starts cutting material.

I use AI tools to help produce the site, and I’m responsible for what we publish. Using those tools does not establish trade qualifications or hands-on experience with a product.

What readers can expect

Guides should explain their reasoning, identify material limitations and link to sources where needed. Illustrations should support the advice without being presented as completed projects. Calculators should explain their assumptions and give results that readers can check against their own measurements.
