How we work
Editorial standards
Our guides should help you make a specific project decision, explain the reasoning behind the advice, and be clear about what we have and have not verified.
Responsibility for the published work
Adnan, founder and editor, chooses the site’s direction and gives final approval to guides and updates. We do not claim professional qualifications, trade experience or installation testing that we have not established.
Topics, research and sources
We choose topics around decisions homeowners face when planning decorative wall projects. Search research, existing guidance and public discussions can help identify those questions. We also cover basic questions that need a clear explanation, even when they rarely come up in public discussions.
For factual claims, we prefer primary or authoritative sources such as manufacturer instructions and technical documentation. We link to supporting material and distinguish documented requirements from design preferences. Advice for one material or product should not be treated as advice for every installation.
AI assistance and review
AI tools assist with research, outlines, drafting, editing, code and illustrative images. AI-generated text is not evidence, and an AI answer does not replace checking a claim against an appropriate source.
Guides go through source checking, factual review, editing and visual review before final editorial approval. We check whether the article addresses its question clearly, explains relevant limitations and agrees with its diagrams. This process can still miss an error; readers can report concerns through Contact.
Materials and product information
We discuss a material or product when it helps explain a decision. Dimensions, variants, surface suitability and installation requirements matter more than a product’s marketing description. If information is missing or conflicting, we say so rather than filling the gap with an assumption.
Mentioning a product is not a claim that we have used or tested it. Check the current manufacturer instructions and selected variant before buying. The site currently carries no paid placements or affiliate tracking links. If that changes, commercial relationships will be disclosed.
Illustrations and diagrams
AI-generated room images are illustrative studies, labeled in guide captions. They are not client projects, personal renovations, product tests or exact predictions of a finished room.
Explanatory diagrams are constructed to show the specific relationship discussed in the guide. They may simplify a junction or exaggerate a detail for clarity. The calculator preview is generated from entered measurements, but it is still a two-dimensional planning drawing. Preview colors do not reproduce a paint finish under real lighting.
Updates and corrections
We revisit guidance when a relevant source, product requirement or confirmed error calls for a change. Substantial article changes should carry an updated date; a minor spelling correction need not change the publication history.
To report a problem, send the page address and the statement or diagram you believe is wrong. We check the concern against the source or calculation and correct confirmed errors. A correction that materially affects a recommendation or result should be explained on the affected page.
Calculator methodology and testing are described separately in How the calculator works.
